Edinburgh Castle is a collection of buildings that date from the 12th through the 20th centuries and has served as a royal palace, fortress, military garrison, and prison. We toured the grounds, including the Great Hall, Argyll and Half Mood Batteries and St. Margaret’s Chapel.
